At Jones Group, our people are the most important part of our business and is the reason why management put so much emphasis and development into this key part of Jones Group.

The safety and culture are the foundations of how they undertake and pursue the day to day running of the business. With ongoing changes within business, emphasis is on training and upskilling staff, encouraging new people into the industry. The culture is changing within this industry and the people that we employ are as well.

Jones Group has been within the industry for many years. Many employees have CERT III and CERT IV in their required fields.

Our company management systems are of the highest of standards, this has been proven in many third-party audits and other principal company audits over the years . The Safety and Management Systems are ongoing working systems, accessible and used every day by all staff.

Safety and Culture that Jones Group Implement

All new employees have medicals before commencing. Drug and alcohol tests are undertaken at medicals as well as random testing also being undertaken.
All existing employees have medicals every 2 years or as required by the doctor, or to meet our fatigue requirements.
All employees have and are supplied with a safety bag that contains all daily required safety and PPE requirements (eg. helmet, gloves, do not start tags, personal first aid kit, snake bit kit). The safety bag is to stay with the employee at all times.
Undertake regular tool box meetings, along with safety days where employee attendance is compulsory.
Jones Group engages Peninsula for HR and safety legal requirements, work agreements etc. This ensures employer obligations are being met.
All employees are supplied with their individual company email address and tablet for communication.
All vehicles are fitted with GPS units.
Jones Haulage is fully NHVR accredited with Mass, Fatigue, and Maintenance.
All trucks are fitted with MTData units and Guardian Fatigue Monitoring Systems.
All trucks are fitted with air winches, scales, and ice chains.
Our Safety and Compliance Manager provides weekly speed reports.
Jones Haulage drivers are provided with trip plans with hazards and controls in place.
Work alone guys have spot trackers if there is no phone range.
